Wines from the Winery Egert from Hattenheim am Rhein in the Rheingau Region
The history of the traditional and family-run Egert Winery goes back to the 18th century. The winery is located in the middle of the Rheingau, in the city of Hattenheim am Rhein. 85% of the vines on the vineyards of Weingut Egert are officially classified as a “First Plant”.
The Weingut Egert specialises in the cultivation of Riesling and Burgundy vines. The focus of the winery is on Riesling vines, with which 90% of the Egert family’s vineyards are planted. Out of these the Egert family produces a variety of dry to sweet, still and sparkling white wines in the 6th generation. The remaining vineyards are planted with Burgundy grapes, from which the winery produces dry white and rosé wines.
The long history of the winery allows the Egert family to create exciting wines through experience and innovation.
