This Pinot Noir from the Steitz Winery is a real character wine. The Steitz winery has vineyards in Rheinhessen and in the Nahe region. This Pinot Noir comes from Bad Kreuznach in the Nahe wine growing region.

It is a typical Spätburgunder: velvety aroma of blackberry, cherry and plum. In addition, slightly nutty and pithy notes give it that certain something.

On the palate, this red wine is mineral, distinctive and intense. The stony quartzite soils contribute to a pleasantly cool minerality.

After harvesting, the grapes are fermented on the mash with the skins and pulp. Maturation takes place in wooden barrels.

Drinking temperature: 16-18°C

This Pinot Noir goes particularly well with stout dishes, spicy cheese or chocolate.
