Enologia-wines from Catalonia – Passion for Spain

Ken Rupar came to Germany with the American Army and stayed. He studied architecture in Stuttgart, and over the last 30 years he has travelled the world for his profession. But in vacation he is drawn as if by magic to Spain. In Spain Ken finds pulsating, fascinating cities with their relaxed urban lifestyle and outside the urban centres, however, we find a landscape of unbelievable diversity of culture, of culinary traditions and above all magnificent wines.

Through numerous wine tasting, he became acquainted with and learned to appreciate many great wines over the years. Some of the winemakers have become and remain to this day good friends. He personally prefers the wines from small family estates or innovative cooperative, who create fantastic Catalan wines carefully by hand, to those all to familiar products of industrial mass production.

Naturally, he can claim to know something about the subject. He has taken numerous courses in particular at the Wine and Spirit Education Trust. Enologia Wein was founded 4 years ago with the goal of bringing these great wines and the joys of the Mediterranean lifestyle to a growing circle of wine lovers.
