Description

Utschebebbes Orange

The Utschebebbes Orange is a white wine fermented on the skins, which gives it its orange color. The white wine has a robust flavor and can be served with meals like a red wine.

Utschebebbes, a Palatinate term for the remains of the grape material after pressing, is used along with the mash, which includes solid parts of the grapes such as skins and seeds, in the winemaking process to create various flavors and structures in the wine.

Winery Mayor Adam Schmitt

The winery Mayor Adam Schmitt in Mommenheim, Rheinhessen, is known for its variety of vineyards in different growing areas.

Owner Eckhard Höbel likes to experiment and manages among other things the steepest vineyard in the Rauenthaler Rothenberg in the Rheingau.

Further locations are in Eppelsheim and at the Nackenheimer Rothenberg. Höbel follows the ecological guidelines of the winegrowers’ association Ecovin and has also been producing vegan wines since 2014. To further wines!

Matching Dishes

The wine is a great companion of strong, light grilled meat, bacon, poultry, olives and pickles.
