Description
“Lava” Beneventano Aglianico
From the Beneventano area, about 50 km east of Naples and near the Vesuvius volcano, comes the intensely ruby-red Lava with violet reflections. This wine is made from the indigenous Aglianico grape variety and embodies the uniqueness of its origin.
The aroma palette of the Lava is rich and complex, marked by leather, spices, and red berries. Notes of wild herbs and forest berries dominate, complemented by a hint of vanilla.
The structure of the wine is rounded off by firm acidity and relatively soft tannins, making it particularly smooth and supple.
Suitable Foods
Its balanced structure makes the Lava an ideal companion for medium-weight meat dishes such as braised veal cheeks or grilled beef steak, as well as to medium-aged cheese, where it can unfold its full range of aromas.
