The intense ruby red lava, which is colored with violet reflections, comes from the small area of Beneventano. This is located approx. 50 km east of Naples and therefore very close to the Vesuvius volcano. The lava comes from the native Aglianico grape variety. The aroma of the lava is composed of leather, spices and red berries. Especially wild herbs and aromas of forest berries stand out. There is also a hint of vanilla. The lava is complemented by a firm acidity and relatively soft tannins, which make it soft and supple. Due to the structure of the wine, it goes perfectly with medium-heavy meat dishes, such as braised veal cheeks or grooved beef steak, and with medium-aged cheese.
