The Solleone consisting of 50% Sangiovese and 50% Merlot grapes comes from the winery Palagetto in the Toscana.
The wine captivates optically with its dark, dense purple colour. The dry red wine shows condimental aromas of pepper and leather. It is completed by balsamic notes of chocolate and wood as well as mesmerising hints of fruits like cherries and dark berries.
The Solleone is a perfect match for roasted meat like steaks or lamb chops. But the wine is also a good companion for a cozy evening.
