The organic grapes of the natural wine Negoska come from the vineyards of Fyliria in the Goumenissa wine region. The soil is sandy and fertile. This wine is a mixture of two different picking dates from the same vintage – early and late. The grapes are carefully selected and crushed by hand and then fermented spontaneously and separately in INOX tanks without additives, clarification or filtration and with an extremely low sulfur content.
The early harvested grapes were macerated for 5 days and the late harvested grapes were macerated for 3 weeks. After fermentation, the skins are lightly pressed and then placed in French oak barrels for 4 months. After aging, the two plants are mixed together to make a balanced red wine.
It shows a strong red with a faint purple. The aroma consists of black cherries, small red fruits, liquorice, vanilla, spices and green peppers. The taste is full-bodied, well structured, with balanced tannins and acidity. It has a long finish.
