The vines are planted on slopes with different levels of sunlight and altitude.
The winemaking is carried out according to the traditional method for port wine. After light chopping with partial stalking, alcoholic fermentation follows with skin maceration. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature and is stopped by adding brandy. The entire winemaking process, monitored by the oenology team, takes into account the grape varieties, their degree of ripeness and the desired sweetness.
The Vista Alegre 10 Anos Tawny is a blend of selected wines from different years, aged in oak barrels and with an average of 10 years.
It can be served slightly chilled at 10-12 ° C with foie gras as well as with rich and strong cheese or with coffee or pralines. Excellent with desserts made from chocolate, dried fruits, nuts and caramel. Port wine is likely to cause buildup since it is a natural product. It is therefore important to ensure that the bottle is not disturbed too much when serving.
