German wines from the winegrowers’ cooperative Winzer von Erbach eG
The motto of the winegrowers’ cooperative from Erbach is “small but nice”. At least that is the motto of the “best winegrowers’ cooperative in the Rheingau” according to Hugh Johnson. If the wine pope already says so, who would contradict him?
The wines of the winegrowers of Erbach are highly awarded: Nine state honours, state winner awards in 2015 and 2017, highest praise in GaultMillau and VINUM wine guide. Above all, the Rieslings are celebrated, which are rich in extract, fruity and spicy and of good structure.
The foundation for this is already laid in the vineyard work with moderate pruning and selective harvesting. 31 member winegrowers from Erbach deliver their grapes to the winegrowers’ cooperative. The sites are located in Kiedrich and Rauenthal and cover a total of 33 hectares.
State-of-the-art cellar technology combined with traditional winemaking methods guarantee success. Cellar master Siegfried Bug ensures the consistent quality of the award-winning wines.
