The Luccarelli “Campo Marina” Primitivo-Merlot Tarantino IGT
The red wine grows in the Apulia region, at the bottom of the Italian boot. Wines from original and now rediscovered grape varieties are grown there. For over 3000 years, vines have been cultivated in this area by tradition, which the local winemakers respectfully consider for all wines. In the modern cellars, the well-known local wines are made from the autochthonous varieties. The Primitivo Merlot is a very good example of this. This wine consists of 70% Primitivo and 30% Merlot. After a 2-week maceration period, the wine is matured in stainless steel tanks before it is bottled young.

The Luccarelli winery has a family winemaking tradition that goes back to the 19th century. Over the years, modernizations have been carried out and the winery has been equipped with the most modern oenological equipment.
Today the company’s goals are to maintain the high quality of the wines produced and to carefully follow the various phases of winemaking, from the selection of the grapes to the packaging of the end product.
Taste and smell of the “Campo Marina” Primitivo-Merlot Tarantino IGT
On the nose, the wine unfolds fruity aromas of ripe red fruits, such as wild berries and sweet cherries. The wine also has spicy notes such as cinnamon or cloves.
The Primitivo Merlot is very soft in the mouth, but still has a full body. It fills the mouth well with its fruity nature and its pleasant, soft tannins and is very pleasant.

The Campo Marina is particularly suitable for hearty meat dishes, grilled steaks or a roast pork with dumplings. Due to its full nature, it can also harmonize well with high-fat dishes. Try the Primitivo Merlot with pasta with a strong sauce or with aged cheese.
