The Gran Cuvée Rosé comes from the province of Chieti in Abruzzo, east of Rome in Italy. High quality wine has been produced here since the 14th century. This already enjoyed a high reputation at that time. Farnese Vini is currently producing the wines. The focus in production is on the local grape varieties. International varieties are also cultivated. A good example of this is the Gran Cuvée Rosé sparkling wine, made entirely from Aglianico grapes.
The sparkling wine appears in an intense garnet pink with a fine perlage. It smells fresh and aromatic of ripe red and black berries such as strawberries, black currants and raspberries. These aromas are complemented with the scent of ripe cherries and black pepper. In terms of taste, this sparkling wine is very aromatic and balanced. The red fruits come out well and complement each other with the acidity. This can ideally be consumed at approx. 6-8 ° C. It is best suited for aperitifs or with dishes from Asian cuisine.
