Description
The Primitivo di Manduria “il Bacca”
Directly from the historic wine-producing area around Manduria in Apulia comes the impressive “il Bacca,” a testament to the 3000-year-old wine tradition of this region. This wine, made from 100% old Primitivo vines, matures for 12 months in wooden barrels after a three-week maceration period, thus combining tradition with modern finesse.
Visually, “il Bacca” impresses with a deep red, while the nose is captivated by an explosion of aromas of dark fruits, tobacco, leather, vanilla, and cinnamon. On the palate, it unfolds a full-bodied, powerful character with soft tannins and a long-lasting mouthfeel, marked by ripe fruit notes.
Suitable Foods
“Il Bacca” pairs excellently with hearty roasts and aged cheese but also shines on its own as a meditation wine. Served at 10-12 °C, it enriches any meal or quiet moments with its deep, complex aromatics.
