Description
The wine Indolente
The Indolente wine is made from 100% local Vermentino varieties. The wine convinces with a fine aromatic scent of citrus fruits with a hint of pineapple and quince. There is also a slightly spicy note of chamomile and herbs. In terms of taste, the wine is fruity despite its mild acidity. In addition to these berry aromas, the typical spicy and mineral nature of Vermentino comes to the fore, which makes it appear almost a little salty.
The origin of the Indolente
The wine comes from the Sassu family winery in Sardinia. Here the family business runs an estate for breeding the eponymous white donkeys with attached viticulture. Many wines are made from regional and traditional grapes, as is the indolent. After the gentle harvest, it is cooled with dry ice, macerated for 4 hours and then gently pressed. The must is then fermented in a controlled manner at 13 ° C. The wine is then matured for 3 months on the fine lees in steel tanks before it is bottled and matures in the bottle for another month before it goes on sale.
Food recommendations for the indolente
Due to its rather light, fruity-spicy nature, the indolent is a nice summer wine and companion for lighter dishes, such as poultry.
