Description
Les Copains: Wine Full of Character and Depth
The Les Copains reveals itself in a deep, purplish-black hue, reminiscent of dark velvet nights. At first sniff, it unfolds an expressive bouquet dominated by the aromas of wild berries.
Added to this are notes of juicy cherry and the Mediterranean hint of garrigue. On the palate, “Les Copains” impresses with its pleasant sweetness and harmoniously integrated tannins.
The aromas, already perceived in the scent, continue in the taste of Grenache and Carignan grapes, offering a rounded and profound tasting experience.
The Domaine Saint Antoine Winery
Domaine Saint Antoine is located in the historic wine-growing region of Haut-Minervois in southern France and is run by a couple from Berlin. Since 2022, the winery has been organically certified and spans 45 ha, of which 27 ha are used for wine production.
Historically, the winery’s history dates back to the times of Napoleon when it was acquired by an Irish widow, Marie Anne Coppinger, with Napoleon’s help.
Domaine Saint Antoine places great emphasis on sustainable cultivation and manual labor, striving to reflect the essence of Minervois in every glass of their wine.
Perfect Pairings
Les Copains pairs excellently with juicy saucisson from wild boar or deer. And for barbecue enthusiasts, it’s the perfect companion to grilled red meat, where the roasted notes of the meat enhance the wine’s complexity.
