Description
“Tre Stelle” Primitivo di Puglia
In Apulia, the southern tip of Italy’s boot, wines from ancient, now rediscovered grape varieties are cultivated, a tradition that dates back over 3000 years. Among the indigenous varieties, Primitivo stands out as a prime example of local winemaking artistry. The wine, made from 100% Primitivo grapes, matures after maceration fermentation in stainless steel tanks before reaching its perfection in the bottle.
The aroma of this wine is characterized by intense fruity notes of dark red fruits like plums and cherries, rounded off by spicy hints of vanilla and rosemary. On the palate, the Primitivo is soft and pleasing, with a richness supported by soft tannins, making it a particularly enjoyable experience.
Suitable Foods
The Primitivo pairs excellently with grilled meats or spicy cheese but also serves as a perfect accompaniment to roasted pork loin with plum sauce or Italian sausages. Its fruity and accessible nature also makes it an ideal wine for social gatherings.
