The company led by Kai Schierke imports wines of small but very fine Quintas exclusively to Germany and sells them to upscale wine retailers. The wines are mainly from the huge pool of grape variety in Portugal. The country has 300 autochthonous grape varieties; no other country has more variety to offer.
Orbis Vini has been working with the same wineries in Portugal for a long time and is constantly adding new delicious wines to their range. The wineries are located in the most important regions of Portugal and vinify their wines traditionally but at a very high quality.
The wines are particularly aromatic and natural. The topic of sustainability, environmentally friendly wine production and energy generation is also becoming more and more present at many Quintas in Portugal. Wineries convert their production to solar energy and make full use of the approximately 2000 hours of sunshine a year!Â
