Velenosi Vini: A Story of Passion and Quality
Velenosi was established in 1984 by the young entrepreneurs Angela and Ercole Velenosi. With over 35 years of experience and a strong passion for wine, Velenosi Vini has built an exceptional wine production that utilizes the most modern equipment and techniques.
Location and Vineyards
The heart of the winery is located in the historic city of Ascoli Piceno in the Marche region, about 20 km from the Adriatic Sea and at an altitude of 150-200 m above sea level. The vineyards of Velenosi Vini stretch across the hills surrounding the beautiful valley of the Tronto river. Thanks to its fertile, clayey soils, this area has always been predestined for viticulture.
Production and Distribution
The annual production of Velenosi Vini amounts to about 2,500,000 bottles, and the company has no plans to stop here. Velenosi Vini is present both on the national and international market and is distributed in 52 countries in Europe and around the world.
Philosophy and Quality
Velenosi firmly believes that “wine is an art that inspires dreams”. This philosophy is reflected in the careful craftsmanship and the ongoing search for the perfect balance between taste and color, bouquet and aftertaste. Every step of the process, from harvesting to winemaking, is carefully monitored to ensure the highest quality.
Team and Expertise
The success of Velenosi Vini is not only due to the quality of their grapes but also to their highly qualified personnel. From the workers to the cellar masters and external consultants like Attilio Pagli, one of the most renowned oenologists in Italy, and Cesare Ferrari, a consultant for a number of Franciacorta companies, everyone brings their unique expertise.
Velenosi Vini on the World Stage
Velenosi Vini has received numerous positive reviews and recognitions over the years, both from national and international publications such as Wine Spectator, Robert Parker, Gambero Rosso, Luca Maroni, A.I.S., and many others.
