In Tuscany, near the town of Montalcino in the province of Siena. Sabrina Niccolai’s family of industrialists realized a long-term dream with “Podere Bellarina” and, with the help of the famous winemaker Giacomo Tachis (“father” of Sassicaia), produced high-quality wines from local and international grape varieties. The wine is made from 100% Sangiovese Grosso grapes.
After almost three weeks of maceration, the wine is aged in oak barrels for at least 2 years and then in the bottle for a further 12 months before being sold. Due to the long aging time in wooden barrels and the immersion of the previous macerate, it is one of the longest aging wines in the world.
