Description
The Assyrtiko Vin Naturel
The wine has a color reminiscent of gold with some honey or light copper tones. The wine is calm on the nose, with a medium aromaticity featuring moist notes of gravel, flint, and lemon, as well as pineapple and white currant.
Upon tasting, the wine reveals itself in pure distilled minerality. On the palate, it is mature with a pronounced play of acidity in excellent balance. The wine evokes lime, pineapple, white currant, pine nuts, as well as cappuccino, asparagus, basil, juniper, and flint.
A wonderfully harmonious yet edgy wine, the aftertaste is very enduring. It is made 100% from the Assyrtiko grape.
Akra Chryssos Winery
Akra Chryssos, a striking winery on Santorini, was founded on the passion and knowledge of winemaker Spyros Chryssos, who produced his first wine in 2015, with the first vintage being vinified in 2019.
With a careful blend of tradition and innovation, both native and international grape varieties are cultivated in the family’s own, historic vineyards to create wines that offer typicity and consistent quality from vintage to vintage.
Nestled in the picturesque wine-growing villages of Pyrgos and Megalochori, the winery presents wines designed to meet the taste of the modern consumer while maintaining harmony with the surrounding nature and healthy mountain climate.
