Quinta de Santa Cristina
De Santa Cristina’s wine production dates back centuries and has been in the same family for several generations.
The family started professional wine production in 2004 and is currently managed by António Pinto together with his wife Rosa Maria Pinto and their daughter Mónica Pinto.
The Quinta de Santa Cristina family winery was named after the chapel of the same name on the Quinta. The own winery was built in 2012 and has become the typical symbol of Quinta de Santa Cristina with its red and yellow tones. T
he winery has a total capacity of 1 million liters and currently around 500,000 liters of wine are produced there. All the vinification processes for the wines and sparkling wines of Quinta de Santa Cristina take place here.
Wines from Portugal
Quinta de Santa Cristina has been around since 1865 and is located in Celorico de Basto, a small town in the Braga district.
The winery is about 400 m above sea level and consists of three quintas: Quinta de Santa Cristina, Quinta da Capela and Quinta de Salgueiros.
4 different white and red grape varieties are grown on a total of 60 hectares of vineyards. The production complies with the rules of the Global G.A.P. certificate and is verified as integrated production.
manufacturing and distribution
The range of products is wide and, for example, classic Vinho Verde and more special products such as Reserva wines or sparkling wines are offered. These are marketed under the Séquito, Santa Cristina and Quinta de Santa Cristina brands.
For the production of the wines, the grapes are harvested by hand. Most of the products are sold domestically at around 70%. The remaining products are exported to countries such as Germany, USA, Switzerland.
