WineWonders: A Journey of Passion and Discovery
WineWonders is more than just a wine merchant. It is the result of a dream born in Budapest and realized in Munich. The story of this venture is a tale of passion, determination, and a love for wine.
The Beginnings
The origins of this business lie in the fall of 2014, when the founder was living in Budapest (Hungary) during an Erasmus semester. Despite his limited knowledge about wine, his curiosity about the local wines with exotic names sparked a new passion in him. This experience laid the foundation for what WineWonders is today.
The Path to Realization
After returning to Mexico in 2015, a young woman encouraged the founder to follow his big dreams and pursue a future in Europe. Despite numerous challenges, including finding a job in Austria or Germany without work experience and with a non-European passport, he did not give up. His solution was found in a master’s degree at the Technical University of Munich, which he began in the fall of 2016.
The Birth of a Dream
After his graduation in 2018 and an inspiring trip to Budapest, the idea of trading with Hungarian wines reignited. This time he had a concrete plan and the perfect market: Germany. In 2019, everything took shape and the dream was born.
Today’s Success
Today, this venture is a successful business bringing high-quality Hungarian wines to Germany. With a strong focus on quality and complexity, WineWonders works closely with small, family-run wineries from all over Hungary to showcase the best wines.
